Monday's Weekly Menu #2

Well it's that time of the week again.
When we get to sit down, make out that menu, grab the grocery adds for this week,
 make our list and Go Shop!!!!
Oh what fun!!!!!
Last week I told you how to do the "Price Matching Game".  
This week I want to tell you how I make my grocery list.
I take my sheet of paper fold it down the center long ways and then fold it again from the
top to bottom in half. In other words I fold it into fourths, so when I unfold my
paper it has 4 smaller rectangles.
Then I give each rectangle a label.....Produce....Meat.....Dairy.....Staples.  Then I go through my menu meal by meal and write down all the things I'm going to need to purchase that week along with the adds and mark with a star all the Price Matching items and their prices that I'm needing as well.
Okay so here is Week # 2 Menu: 


Breakfasts:

    • Blueberry Buckwheat Pancakes* & Sugar-Free Syrup (my fav is IHOP)
    • Turkey Bacon (2 slices)
    • 1/4 c. Non-Fat Light Greek Vanilla Yogurt & 1/4 c.  Berries of choice
    • Juice of choice
    • Coffee/Tea

    • Scrambled Eggs
    • 1 Great Value (frozen) Turkey Sausage Patty
    • Buttermilk Biscuit w/ Smart Balance Buttery Spread & Simply Fruit
    • 1/4 c. Non-Fat Light Greek Vanilla Yogurt & 1/4 c.  Berries of choice
    • Juice of choice
    • Coffee/Tea

    • 1/4 c. Non-Fat Light Greek Vanilla Yogurt & 1/4 c.  Berries of choice

    • 1 Great Value (frozen) Turkey Sausage Patty

    • Coffee/Tea

Lunches:

    • Sandwich: 2 oz. Market Pantry Healthy Turkey & Ham w/ Sargento Ultra Thin Sliced Cheese
    • Baby Carrots, 6 Celery Strips, 5 Cucumber Slices
    • Bottled Light Ranch Dressing (2 T.)
    • 1 small Apple
    • Water

    • 10 Multi-Grain Crackers
    • 4 Baby Carrots, 8 Celery Strips, 5 Cherub Tomatoes
    • 2 T.Bottled Light Ranch Dressing
    • 1 small Apple

    • 2 oz. Boar's Head Low Sodium Roast Beef Sand w/ 1 slice Sargento Ultra Thin Cheese
    • 1 Reduced Sodium Vlasic Pickle Spear
    • 8 Celery Strips, Baby Carrots
    • 2 T. Bottled Light Ranch Dressing
    • 15 Red Grapes
    • Water

    • Wise No-Salt Added Potato Chips (Family Dollar Stores Carry These)
    • Reduced Sodium Vlasic Pickle Spear
    • 1/2 c. No-Sugar Added Peach Slices
    • Water

    • 1 T. Non-Fat Sour Cream
    • Medium Green Tossed Salad

    • Pork Chop (fat cut off before cooking)
    • Small Sweet Potato baked
    • 1 T "butter"
    • Large Green Tossed Salad
    • Iced Tea (sugar free)

    • Roast Beef Sandwiches (use leftover roast from lunch)
    • Unsalted Potato Chips
    • Diet Soda

I'm going to switch Weekly Menu to Friday's. I came to realize that it makes more sense to make a menu and shopping list before Monday.  That a way if you wanted or needed to you could so your shopping over the weekend and be ready for the week ahead. So from now on be looking for this post on Friday's!!
